Discover the gallery of Garrick Yrondi, a renowned artist, painter, draftsman and sculptor based in France. His works are exhibited in French Polynesia and Brazil. The artist Yrondi translates different expressions of life, diverse and varied.
Born in Antibes in 1945, he arrived in Polynesia in 1946. Bathed in this privilege until 1956, he returned to the south of France to continue his studies. A Polynesian nostalgic for his years, he returned to Tahiti in 1978. But Tahiti has changed a lot and it is in the Marquesas that he can find the emancipation of a world not yet inhibited by technology.
Garrick Yrondi went to Bora Bora for the realization of a mosaic for the swimming pool of a condominium. Seduced by his work, the famous explorer PE Victor provided him with the Haapiti Rai Motu. He lived there until cyclone Wasa destroyed everything in 1991. Then he had his own villa built in the purest Florentine style. Seduced by his vision and his treatment of color, his paintings appear in collections around the world. . In his vision, the artist launched a subscription for the realization of the Fish Lady in pink marble that he will sculpt in Portugal. Placed in 1997 next to Bora Bora airport, it has become the symbol of travellers.
